Appreciating my life and everything in it today. It's probably not a life that most people would think was very special, but to me it's extraordinary. The road to now has been long, twisted,sometimes dark, sometimes light, and definitely worth every step of the journey. No big, outstanding moments this week, just the simple little pleasures that make it all worth while.
Grandma Moses:
Life is what you make of it. Always has been, always will be.
1. The cutest leather jacket for Amber, on sale for $20. She loves it, me and her Daddy loved the price.
2. Ray took my baby to get her first ever military ID card. Kind of a bittersweet event for me. I'm not ready for her to grow up, but so proud of the person she has become.
3. True Blood Season 1 for $16.99. Couldn't pass it up. Now I am hooked. Watched the whole thing in 3 days. Can't wait until season 2 is available on DVD.
4. Girls got new bowling balls for Christmas. Took them to the bowling alley on Saturday to have the holes drilled. Then we stayed and bowled 3 games. Everyone had a great time and Amber bowled her best game ever.
5. Watching Marshmallow play in the living room everynight at midnight. She's such a goof. And incredibly OCD.
6. Sunday dinner was a delicious roasted turkey, baked with bacon under the skin, made by my husband. The house smelled heavenly all day and the dinner tasted wonderful. Even our resident vegetarian tried some of the turkey.
7. Jazzy baked cookies twice this week, orange and chocolate. Yummy!
8. Spicy Gingersnap body lotion from Bath and Bodyworks. My husband gave me a foot massage with it. Felt and smelled like a little bit of heaven.
9. Temperatures below freezing. Doesn't happen very often in Louisiana, but last week it happened pretty much every day. I loved it. Gave me an excuse to wear fuzzy socks, drink hot cocoa, make hearty soups for dinner, and cuddle under blankets while reading.
10. Ray finally got his motorcycle insurance issues straightened out. We were right, they were wrong. Just like I knew. Silly people.

Sounds like a great week! I keep forgetting that I need to take my bowling ball in to get the holes redrilled, apparently my thumb has increased in size over the past few years. Lately though we have really enjoyed bowling on the Wii that was our Christmas present from Chad's parents.
Bowling has always been one of our favorite Wii games. My Dad is addicted to it and challenges everyone that comes to visit him.
Kind of funny when Amber was getting her ball drilled. First her hand span was too small and then it looked like he was drilling holes for baby fingers. LOL.
