Happy Days

Proverbs 19:21
Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.

Several of my happy moments this week are the result of tasks being completed or accomplished. These are things that have been hanging over my head for awhile and I haven't had time to accomplish them due to other, more important priorities. It's such a relief to know that these things are finished.

The rest are just moments of unexpected pleasure or surprise.

1. Jared finally passed his driver's test for his permit.

2. A massage from my husband with sugar and spice body lotion. I smelled like a big cookie. LOL.

3. Amber's science fair project is finished and she had such fun doing it. And it looks awesome!

4. Olive Garden's stuffed chicken Marsala...WOW!

5. Found Amber's glasses in the school gym so we didn't have to buy her new ones.

6. Honey Bear...the big stuffed bear that Ray gave me to snuggle while he is away.

7. Finally, I have a set of brand spanking new ovens that work! It's been almost a year since my upper oven quit working and I have missed it terribly.

8. Jazmyne was awarded lots of badges and patches at her scouting court of awards tonight. Even Paige was awarded a patch for volunteering to help with the quilting camp in January.

9. Ray was able to find time to get Paige a new ID card while he was home. Her's was falling apart.

10. Finished the bunny costume that Jazmyne needs for the spring camping trip.

Keeping the following in my prayers this week.

Carlie and her family
Dorothy and her Mom and Ben
Kathy
Tina's Mom
Marie and her Family
Ken
Sylvia
DeNeice and her family
Cheryl's husband
And, of course, my husband and all of his team mates, and the rest of our military.

We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude. ~Cynthia Ozick

I tried sewing things for my kids years ago...they asked me to stop.
